Best RV Parks in Prescott, AZ

Prescott sits a mile high in the pines of central Arizona, about two hours north of Phoenix, which makes it a classic summer escape from the valley heat. Summers stay mild, and winter brings the occasional snow. RVers come for Whiskey Row and the historic courthouse square, for paddling and hiking at Watson and Willow lakes, and for the trails of Prescott National Forest. Parks sit in two main spots: among the granite boulders of the Dells on the north side of town, about 5 miles from downtown, and east along Highway 69 and 89A through Prescott Valley and Dewey. Forest campgrounds in the Prescott Basin round out the options with dry camping and no hookups.

Fairgrounds RV Park

Dry camping in the Prescott Basin?

White Spar and the other forest campgrounds around Prescott have no hookups, and a mile-high night in the pines can turn cold even in late spring. A portable power station runs lights, phones, a CPAP or a furnace fan through the night without any engine noise, and a folding panel propped in a sunny spot can recharge it while you hike.
