Moab is the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands, and RVers base here for hiking, mountain biking, climbing and long days on off-road trails. Spring and fall are the busy seasons. Summers run hot and winters get cold, and a few parks close or scale back between November and March, so check the dates before you plan a winter trip. Most parks line US-191 in two pockets: north of downtown toward the Arches entrance and the Colorado River bridge, and south of town through Spanish Valley, where the independent parks on this page sit with views of the La Sal Mountains.
Red Desert RV Park
A locally owned park at the south end of Spanish Valley with 58 RV sites and 14 cabins, each RV site set up with water, sewer, WiFi, a picnic table and a fire pit. There is room on the property for trailers and tow rigs, plus secure storage for bikes and kayaks.
Address: 5501 S Hwy 191, Moab, UT 84532

Sunsets of Moab RV Park
A small RV-only park off Bobcat Lane in Spanish Valley with spaces suited to Class A motorhomes and 30/50-amp, water, sewer and WiFi at the sites. No restroom or shower house is listed, so it works best for self-contained rigs.

Moab Rim RV Campark
An RV park, campground and cabin stop two miles south of downtown, with open sites that look across Spanish Valley to the La Sal Mountains. A new shower and restroom building and a small store with snacks and convenience items are on site, and hiking and biking trails are close by.

Moab RV & Glamping Resort
A Spanish Valley resort with big-rig-friendly pull-through and back-in sites under shade trees, all on full hookups with 30 and 50-amp service. Cabins, heated and air-conditioned tipis, glamping tents and rental RVs make room for friends without a rig, and a new 360-degree deck overlooks the valley.

Spanish Trail RV Park
A park three miles south of downtown on Hwy 191 with pull-through full-hookup sites, large grassy sites, a heated pool and spa, laundry and free WiFi, about nine miles from Arches. It closes for winter, with a posted closure from November 1 to March 1, so plan on a spring through fall stay.

Heading out onto BLM land?
Some of the best camping around Moab has no pedestal at all: dispersed sites on BLM land, a late night at a trailhead, a pull-off on a dirt road near Canyonlands. A portable power station keeps lights, phones and a small fridge going out there, and with all that high-desert sun, a folding solar panel can top it back up while you ride.
For panels you can fold up and stash, see our portable solar panels.
