Best RV Parks in Yuma, AZ

Few places get as much sun as Yuma, and that is exactly why the RVs show up. From about October to April the winter crowd settles in, and in summer the heat is serious enough that some parks trim their office hours. Most resorts sit east of town in the Foothills along I-8, on East 32nd Street and the two Frontage Roads. A second cluster sits right on the Colorado River at the old Yuma Crossing, including parks just across the bridge in Winterhaven, California. Popular day trips include Los Algodones over the border, the Imperial Sand Dunes, and the Territorial Prison state park downtown.

Heading out to the dunes?

Yuma's resorts make camp easy, but plenty of guests spend their days at the Imperial Sand Dunes or out on BLM land where there is no outlet. A portable power station runs a fridge, fans and chargers through a day at camp, and with this much sunshine a solar panel can refill it before dinner.
