A Starlink Mini uses about 25 to 40 watts on average, and a Starlink Standard dish about 75 to 100 watts. Those are the averages on Starlink's own specification sheets. Over a full day, a Mini uses about 0.6 to 1 kWh, so a 1,000 Wh power station can keep it online for about a day.
| Model | Average power | Power input | Per day (24 hours) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starlink Mini | 25 to 40 W | 12 to 48V DC, 60 W input; or USB-C PD, 100 W (20V/5A) minimum | About 0.6 to 0.96 kWh |
| Starlink Standard | 75 to 100 W | Power supply, 100 to 240V AC | About 1.8 to 2.4 kWh |
Sources: Starlink Mini and Standard specification sheets. Starlink's help center also lists an idle draw of about 15 W for the Mini.

Hours = capacity x 0.9 / watts. Capacity is from each product page. Add your router, laptop, or phone chargers if they share the station.
Running a Mini around the clock at 40 W uses about 0.96 kWh a day. At 4.5 peak sun hours, that takes roughly 285 watts of solar (960 Wh / (4.5 x 0.75)), or about 180 watts at 25 W average. The Explorer 1000 v2 is available with a SolarSaga 200W panel from $699, which covers the Mini at its lower average on a sunny day. A Standard dish at 100 W around the clock needs about 710 watts of solar by the same math. See Best Solar Generators for Camping and RV.
