For a commercial site, stored energy does two valuable jobs. It keeps you running when the grid fails, and it lets you sidestep the demand peaks that quietly dominate your utility bill.
The Sol-Ark L3-HV-40 is built to do both, paired with the Sol-Ark 30K-3P-208V inverter. Through the day it stores solar or off-peak energy; at your peak-demand hours it discharges to shave those spikes; and when the grid goes down it keeps your critical loads live.
It's designed for the realities of an indoor commercial install. LiFePO4 chemistry is inherently stable, and Sol-Ark adds fire suppression at both module and cabinet level — the kind of detail that makes an AHJ and an insurer comfortable. At under 40 dBA it's quiet enough for an occupied building, and the freestanding rack footprint is compact at 23 × 23 inches.
There's less to wire and less to source, too.
A 200A DC disconnect and a 160A internal fuse are built into the cabinet, so a lot of the balance-of-system that usually sits alongside a commercial battery is already handled. Each cabinet is a 410V nominal bank of eight 5.12 kWh LiFePO4 modules, communicating over CAN 2.0 / RS485.
And the growth path is genuinely long. Start with a single 40.96 kWh cabinet, add up to 16 per inverter, and parallel up to 10 inverters for 6.4 MWh of storage and 300kW of AC power — with peak shaving, DER-program participation and grid sell-back all supported as your strategy develops.
