The EG4 Solar Charge Controller MPPT100-48HV is a high-efficiency 100A MPPT charge controller designed to optimize solar energy conversion for 48V battery banks. With a maximum PV input voltage of 500VDC, this controller allows for longer solar panel strings, reducing wiring costs and increasing system efficiency. Perfect for off-grid and hybrid solar systems, the MPPT100-48HV ensures reliable and intelligent solar power management.

Fits my needs

Installed this to use with a generator that was not compatible with my victron multiplus. This allowed me to keep my generator and use it for a backup supply to charge my EG4 batteries. I did not like the fact that when you adjust the current limit the charger resets to 0 and then ramps up instead of just going to the new setpoint from where it currently is.

Need more in depth instructions

Moe in depth instructions would be great, i had an issue with input voltage too high, charger sensed it and would not charge batteries. Also had no fault lights or anything. There are lights you can see on the diodes on the side of the charger that will tell you it's not happy. I Figured it out the hard way. Other than some early growing pains it works great

A Real Work Horse

I put this engine on my duck boat and it performs so much better than the predator 420 engine I had on the boat. This 500cc runs smoother and has a lot more horse power and torque and runs at a higher RMP than the predator engine. I'll definitely be using these DuroMax 500cc engines for other projects!!

Although these are not in stock yet, this will be the best fit for my home.
