The Tigo 200 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is a key component of the Tigo EI Residential Solar Solution, designed for whole-home backup power. It automatically switches a home's power source during an outage, seamlessly transitioning from the grid to a solar and battery storage system or a backup generator.
Key features
Capacity: The ATS has a 200 Amp rating, enabling it to provide whole-home backup for most residential properties.
Automatic switching: It senses when grid power is lost and automatically transfers the load to the backup power source. When utility power is restored, it transfers the load back and resumes normal grid-tied operations.
Generator support: Specific models, such as the TSS-200-US-G, support an external backup generator up to 24 kW with a two-wire auto-start function. This feature ensures continuous backup even if the solar and battery system runs low.
Durability: The unit is housed in a NEMA 4X / IP65-rated enclosure, protecting it from dust and water. This makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
Built-in service disconnect: The ATS includes an integrated service disconnect, which can simplify installation and potentially eliminate the need for an electrical panel upgrade.
Manual bypass: A manual bypass switch is included for maintenance or emergency situations, allowing power to be routed directly from the grid while the inverter and battery are isolated.
Integrated monitoring: The system integrates with the Tigo EI mobile app and web portal, allowing you to monitor your energy usage and system status.
Compatibility: The Tigo 200 Amp ATS is designed to work exclusively with other Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) components, such as the EI Inverter and Battery.

TSS-200-US: The standard 200A model for backup power from a solar and battery system.
TSS-200-US-G: The 200A model with added support for a backup generator.

Voltage: 120V / 240V split-phase.
Backup power: Continuous power of approximately 10,000 to 11,400 Watts, with a peak power of up to 48,000 Watts.
Switchover time: The grid-to-battery switchover takes less than two seconds, while the grid-to-generator switchover takes less than 500 milliseconds.
