The Sol-Ark 8kW Hybrid Inverter with EMP Hardening Kit (model SA-8K-EMPKIT) is an all-in-one solar energy system designed to protect residential power from severe threats like electromagnetic pulses (EMPs), solar flares, and grid failures. The kit combines the 8kW inverter with proprietary EMP shielding technology and additional surge suppressors for system resilience.

  • All-in-one system: Combines an inverter, charge controller, display, and monitoring in a single, pre-wired unit to simplify installation.
  • Multiple operation modes: Supports grid-tied, off-grid, and battery backup systems. Features include grid-selling, "meter-zero" for eliminating utility bills, and "time-of-use" settings to minimize grid power usage.
  • Grid independence: Manages power seamlessly between solar, battery, grid, and a generator with a fast, 4-millisecond transfer time during outages.
  • Battery compatibility: Works with a wide range of 48V battery types, including lead-acid and lithium-ion, and has closed-loop communication for optimized performance with compatible batteries.
  • Built-in safety: Includes integrated rapid shutdown, arc fault detection, and surge protection. 

EMP hardening specifications The EMP hardening provides advanced protection against natural and man-made electromagnetic disturbances. 
  • Robust construction: The 8K-EMPKIT is independently tested to military standards (MIL-STD-461G) and has withstood field strengths of 50kV/m and 100kV/m without damage.
  • Full system protection: Includes suppressors to protect the main inverter unit, connected appliances, and solar panels.
