The Sol-Ark 60 kWh Indoor Lithium Battery System is the L3-HV-60-KWH, a high-voltage, modular energy storage system designed for commercial and industrial applications. It is paired with the Sol-Ark 60K-3P-480V hybrid inverter to provide backup power, demand charge management, and energy optimization. 
System components
  • Battery system: The L3-HV-60-KWH system has a total DC energy capacity of 61.44 kWh, with 55.30 kWh of usable energy. It consists of 12 individual 5.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules. The high-voltage design (614.4V nominal) is optimized for efficient performance.
  • Inverter: The system uses the Sol-Ark 60K-3P-480V hybrid inverter, which is capable of 60 kW of continuous AC power and is suitable for three-phase commercial power systems.
  • Safety features: The system includes multiple built-in safety measures, such as a dual fire suppression system in both the battery packs and the cabinet. The LiFePO4 battery chemistry is also inherently stable and safe.
  • Enclosure: The indoor system features an IP20-rated enclosure, which is suitable for installation in controlled, indoor environments like electrical rooms.

    • Battery expansion: A single 60K inverter can support up to 16 battery cabinets, with a maximum capacity of 9.6 MWh.

    • Backup power: Offers near-instantaneous 5-millisecond power transfer during grid outages.
    • Peak shaving: Reduces utility demand charges by using stored energy during peak billing hours.
    • Time-of-use (TOU) optimization: Stores energy when electricity rates are low and uses it when rates are high.
    • Grid sell: Sells excess energy back to the grid.
  • Remote monitoring: The system includes built-in Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity, allowing for easy remote monitoring and control via a web portal or mobile app.
