The OutBack Power FXR Sealed Series 2.5 kW, 24 VDC, 120 VAC Inverter/Charger (model FXR2524A-01) is a hybrid unit that can be configured for either grid-interactive or off-grid power systems. Its sealed, weatherproof design allows for installation in harsh conditions, such as high heat or humidity.
Key features
Off-grid and grid-tied functionality: This single model can be configured for use in off-grid systems with a battery bank or for grid-interactive setups. The unit is programmable for seven different modes, including "GridZero," which prioritizes renewable energy use over utility power.
Modular and stackable: Multiple FXR units can be combined to increase power output. Up to nine inverters can be used in a three-phase system, or up to ten can be stacked for grid-tied applications.
Built for harsh environments: The sealed unit has a NEMA type 1 die-cast aluminum chassis, making it suitable for locations with high temperatures, humidity, or corrosive salt air.
Advanced battery charging: The inverter features Advanced Battery Charging (ABC) technology, which offers expanded charging voltages and parameters to support a variety of battery types, including Lithium-Ion, Aqueous Ion, and Flow chemistry batteries.
System monitoring: It can be paired with an OutBack MATE3 system controller and OPTICS RE software for remote monitoring and control.
