The Midnite Solar MNPowerFlo5 is a 5.12 kWh, 48-volt, rack-mounted lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery designed for both off-grid and grid-tied solar applications. Its rack-mount form factor and modular design make it suitable for a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial energy storage systems. 
Key features
  • High-quality cells: The  MNPowerFlo5  uses Grade A+ LFP cells from EVE, a top manufacturer, to ensure long-lasting performance and safety.
  • Long cycle life: The battery is rated for 6,000 charge cycles when operating at 77°F (25°C) at a 0.5C/0.5C charge/discharge rate. This equates to an expected service life of 15 years.
  • Smart communication:
    • It's a plug-and-play unit that automatically assigns addresses, eliminating the need for manual DIP switch configuration.
    • It uses the Pylontech communication protocol, making it compatible with many 48V inverters that support LFP batteries.
    • It provides seamless, closed-loop communication with Midnite's own MNROSIE and MN15-12K-AIO inverters.
  • Monitoring and control: Users can monitor system status and receive firmware updates via the web-based Midnite Pro App.
  • Scalability: You can connect up to 16 units in parallel, allowing for a total system capacity of up to 81 kWh.
  • Safety and compliance: The battery features an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) with multi-level protection and is compliant with key safety standards, including UL 1973, UL 9540A, and UL 9540.
  • Efficient cooling: The unit relies on natural convection cooling, which means it operates silently.
